The Municipal Electric and Gas Alliance (MEGA) is pleased to once again offer the MEGA Member Scholarship to support graduating high‑school seniors within our member communities. This scholarship was created by the MEGA Board of Directors as part of our commitment to reinvesting in member municipalities and school districts and supporting the educational goals of New York students.
Scholarship Details: Up to three scholarships of $3,000 each
Deadline for Application: May 22, 2026, 11:59 PM
The applicant must:
- Be a high school senior graduating in 2026
- Reside in a MEGA member municipality or attend a MEGA member school district
- Hold an unweighted GPA of at least 3.0
- Intend to pursue a STEM or public policy field at a New York college or university
Application Materials:
- High school transcript or report card
- Resume
- 500-word essay highlighting educational or professional goals
- Letter of recommendation from a representative from a MEGA member municipality OR a teacher or administrator from a MEGA member school district
