The Municipal Electric and Gas Alliance (MEGA) has created a scholarship for current high school seniors that reside in a member municipality/school district. It was designed by our board of directors to support our members and the educational pursuits of New Yorker’s who live in our communities.
Scholarship amount: $5,000
Deadline for application: May 25, 2025
Qualifications for application:
- Resides in a member municipality or attend a member school district
- High School senior of graduating in 2025
- Holds a 3.0 or greater GPA (unweighted)
- Intends on going into a STEM or Public Policy field
- Intends on going to a college or university within NYS
How to apply:
- Email the following materials to info@megaenergy.org
- High school transcript or report card
- One page resume
- 500 word essay highlighting educational goals
- A letter of recommendation from local official from a member municipality or a teacher/administrator from a member school district.
