MEGA provides technical assistance to member municipalities to research energy issues. While the level of assistance is somewhat limited, it is often useful in assessing the initial feasibility of a concept or a project under consideration. These services are provided by our energy consultants, EnergyNext, Inc. For information contact Barbara Blanchard 518-465-1473
Outdoor Holiday Lighting
MEGA has worked with NYSERDA's Regional Energy Coordinators to identify pilot projects featuring the use of LED lighting in our member counties. We offered a cash grant toward the purchase of LED lights which use only a fraction of the electricity of traditional lights and are much more dependable over time.
